The Losers

One of the taglines for this movie: Anyone Else Would Be Dead By Now. A five member elite CIA black ops team is sent to the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. The unit find themselves the target of a lethal betrayal instigated from the inside after they have completed their mission. Presumed dead, the group makes plans to root out the person who targeted them for assassination with the help of a mysterious new operative with her own agenda.

Franklin Clay is the colonel and operational control of the unit with his right hand man Willian Roque who happens to have the jobs of demolition & tactical and is also a fellow brooder. Jake Jensen has the jobs of communications & technical with the added bonus of funny t-shirt wearer and Aisha al-Fadhil is the lady with the connections to get certain things done that others may find unsavory. Linwood 'Pooch' Porteous is the man with a baby on the way who handles transportation & heavy weapons and Carlos "Cougar" Alvarez is the man of few words with the cowboy hat and also the sniper of the group. Max is the big bad man who is willing to blow up a piece of America to start a war in name of democracy and Wade is his right hand man who gets him the right men for the job.

This movie is a adapted from a comic book of the same name by Vertigo and DC Comics which is owned be Time Warner which also owns Warner Bros. Thia action movie is an example of the old school high stakes action movies with bloodless violence and people killed off camera with a loud soundtrack and fast dialogue. Jason Patric as Max really makes the movie as the villain who is so twisted, but so very likable in his approach to villainy. I never read the comic this is based on but director Sylain White shows he can handle explosions in this movie as well as he did dance sequences in Stomp the Yard. I rate this movie a Rated B.
