“We invited all the teachers for a special lunch to say thank you for all their efforts this year,” said General Manager, Bill Culbreath. “We arranged to pick the ladies up at the local government docks, gave them a tour of the resort and then treated them to a private lunch at our renovated lodge.” Principal of McLean’s Town School, Mrs. Dorothy Lewis noted, “It was absolutely wonderful! I had never been to the cay before and it’s so lovely. To be honest I am afraid of small boats but the staff made me feel so safe and the resort is so pleasant – I can’t wait to go back.” Luckily for Lewis and her students it won’t be too long as the Deep Water Cay staff are now organizing a fun summer treasure hunt for all kids aged 5 – 14 who live in the two closest settlements. “We are planning some fun games around the cay, then we will have cookies, ice cream, lemonade and prizes,” explained Lisa Culbreath, Assistant Manager. “Our staff are having a great time organizing the event and we are looking forward to helping the community children have a fun day on the cay.” Newer news items:
