NASSAU, Bahamas -- The watersports team at Sandals Royal Bahamian has much to celebrate. They were recently the recipients of an award from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) for exceeding their certification goals. It is the first time Sandals Royal Bahamian has received the award in its 15 year history.
Sandals offers PADI certification courses at all its Bahamian resorts including the resort chain’s newly launched PADI National Geographic Diver Course at its property in Emerald Bay Exuma. The new specialty certification course teaches guests how to become true explorers and scientists of the sea.
Sandals and Beaches resorts were honoured in 2011 as valued partners of PADI for their commitment to dive education, preservation and training, and have grown their dive program to an operation of five PADI National Geographic Dive Centers, more than 325 sites across the Caribbean utilising state-of-the-art Scubapro equipment on guided exploration tours to broaden the knowledge and skills of all those involved in diving.
The resort company has also created a dive internship program to further develop the skills and expertise of its watersports division.
