|FNM statement on G.B. Power relief initiative|
|Thursday, 29 March 2012 06:01|
The FNM finds it amazing, but not surprising, that on the heels of working with Grand Power Company to bring a level of relief to disconnected customers on Grand Bahama, PLP leaders, yesterday, responded with negative speculations, and today, yet another political figure is crying for credit.
The FNM Government partnered with the Power Company between 2009 and 2010 and a relief programme was implemented. Those were not election years. The suggestion that this move to help residents reconnect their electricity is a hand out, serves as an insult to those persons who will still have to pay to keep the lights on.
Further, the time to do what is right is always the right time.
While others cry, complain, and criticize seeking votes without solutions, the FNM Government will continue to DELIVER for the people of Grand Bahama and the Bahamas. The FNM will continue to work with officials at G.B. Power to ensure continued reliable service and lower rates for customers.
