I think it is about time all Freeporters and indeed Grand Bahamians try and get together and confront Power Company about disgraceful state of power supplied to us. Not only is it the most expensive power in the world but possibly ther worst service in the world and I hear the price of power is on the rise again – the usual excuse cost of gas has gone up. We still have the most expensive power and the worst service in the world. Get them to admit the real problem here – aged equipment – which should have been replaced in about 1980 and stupid greed. I watched the owner of Silk Cafe trying to get through to Power Company today (Thursday) - of course nobody would return her call. In their brilliant arrangements they had turned off the power in down town Freeport from 11 0.a.m. to 1.00.p.m. the time when Freeporters just might make a bit of money in our dying economy. -M.
