Bank of The Bahamas opens state of the art training centre

Gina Brown, Assistant Manager, Human Resoruces, Training and Development In a move designed to revolutionize the way staff look at customer service, award-winning Bank of The Bahamas recently opened a full-time, fully-staffed state of the art training centre on Village Road.

“Our goal is simple – make sure every customer we see not only feels good about their banking experience that day, but treats and accepts BOB as their banking partner for life,” said Gena Brown, Assistant Manager, Human Resources, Training & Development (pictured). “That means going beyond transactions to establishing lifelong relationships built on knowledge, assistance and trust.”


The centre includes 25 computers for technical and systems-related training, complete audio-visual capabilities, ceiling-mounted projectors with drop-down screens and features an accordion divider allowing the large training room to be split in two for maximum flexibility of space usage.

The bank with more than $716 million in assets was named the 2007 Bahamas Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year and recently won Euromoney magazine’s prestigious Award for Excellence for the second time. BOB operates 12 branches on seven islands as well as BOB Financial Services in Coral Gables, Florida.
