Leevan Sands collapses with knee problem in Triple Jump final

LONDON, England -- In a painful moment to watch Bahamian Triple Jump finalist Leevan Sands collapsed as he took his final step into the sand during Thursday evening's finals.

Taken off the track by stretcher Sands did not appear to be in extreme pain but protecting his knee from further injury.  He ended in fifth place overall.

In other news the Bahamas Women's 4 x 100m Relay the Bahamas finished sixth in heat #1 and did not advance to the finals.

The Bahamas was the top qualifier in the Men's 4 x 400 Relay and an exciting final will be run Friday.
