Officers responded to a call received at 10:35pm on Monday 6th August, 2012 where they saw the victim at Bahama Reef Boulevard and he was transported to the named hospital via ambulance. A 37 year old male of South Bahamia was taken into police custody regarding this matter and is assisting with the investigation. Newer news items:

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama -- This morning, Tuesday 7th August, 2012, a 45 year old male of Lucaya is listed in ‘critical’ condition at the Rand Memorial Hospital as a result of a gunshot wound to the upper portion of his body late last evening.
