Police execute Operation 'Crack-A-Dawn' in Abaco

ABACO, Bahamas -- Traffic Police in Abaco were engaged in operation “Crack-A-Down” yesterday, Wednesday 25th June, 2012 between the hours of 5:45am and 9:00am on S.C. Bootle Highway in accordance with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan 2012.

This initiative was an effort to target the motoring public who continually ignore the road traffic laws. As a result, thirty-one (31) drivers were cited for various infractions of the Road Traffic Act and one person was arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs.

We commend the officers for their effort as they continue their mandate to reduce accidents and to ensure that the rules of the road are adhered to by all motorists.
