Toastmastes Club 1425 in Grand Bahama celebrating four decades of developing leaders

Newly elected board members of the various clubs, in the newly realigned Area 93 - which includes Grand Bahama & Abaco - participated in a Toastmasters Leadership Institute seminar held this past Saturday under the direction of the 2012-2013 Area Governor, Toastmaster Julieth McCafferty of AbacoFREEPORT, Grand Bahama -- In 1969, before The Bahamas gained its independence, Club 1600 was chartered as the first Toastmasters Club in New Providence. Three years later, in 1972, Club 1425 was chartered in Grand Bahama.

Both clubs endure to this day as the oldest Toastmasters Clubs in The Bahamas, and on August 1, 2012, Toastmasters Club 1425: Eagles will be celebrating 40 years of developing leaders with confidence and effective communication skills.

Being that the Toastmasters year begins on the 1st of July; the newly elected board members of the various clubs, in the newly realigned Area 93 - which includes Grand Bahama & Abaco - participated in a Toastmasters Leadership Institute seminar held this past Saturday under the direction of the 2012-2013 Area Governor, Toastmaster Julieth McCafferty of Abaco.

Executive members of Club 1425 were in attendance to absorb the information, and are now prepared to keep the Eagles soaring into the future!

Toastmasters Club 1425: Eagles meets every Thursday, 7 PM at Geneva’s Place, Mall Drive.
