Number 1:

Alphonso Alfred Bethel DOB 18th March, 1990 of Sunset Subdivision was arraigned in the Magistrate’s Court in Eight Mile Rock before Magistrate Gwendolyn for Harboring a Criminal after being arrested by Police on Wednesday 4th July, 2012. He pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the charged and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison and the matter is set for trial on Monday 10th September, 2012.

The Police are taking this opportunity to remind the public that persons caught harboring ‘wanted’ persons in relation to the APB issued earlier this week for six males and others that are outstanding, that it is an offence and they will be arrested and dealt with in accordance with the law.

Number 2:

Stanley Marseille DOB 1 April, 1992 of Freeport, was arraigned in Magistrate’s Court No.3 before Deputy Chief Magistrate Helen Jones on the charge of Causing Grievous Harm. He pleaded ‘not guilty’ and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until Wednesday 29th August, 2012 when the trial is scheduled to commence. This arraignment is in relation to an early morning shooting report that was made to the police at 2:45am on Sunday 10th June, 2012 when a 29 year old male was reportedly shot in the Freetown area - kindly refer to Press Release #91 for information.

The second suspect in this matter is William Lightfoot (one of the six ‘wanted’ men sent out a few days ago) who is still outstanding. In this regard, we (the police) are renewing our appeal for the assistance of the media and the public alike in the whereabouts of Lightfoot.
